Rally Raid is the toughest of all tests for reliability and consistent performance of suspension components, especially dampers. From sandy dunes to rocky fields, no type of racing offers so many different surfaces and challenges for drivers and vehicles.
The infamous Dakar is the hardest and most gruesome Rally Raid event in the world. Top drivers like Nasser Al-Attiyah and Nani Roma claim that the engineering of Reiger plays a big part in their victories.
Our dampers are used in every category from the technological spearhead, which is T1+ to T2 cars, the light and nimble T3 and T4 Side by Sides and finally the heavy and powerful T5 trucks. On every single vehicle our dampers endure highspeed driving as well as handling passages and jumps as well as mud, sand and extreme heat. Hydro jacks
For a quick service during the race, Rally Raid cars, much like GT race cars, are equipped with hydro jacks. Much of the things we learned in making our shock absorbers lighter and stronger also went into the design of our hydro jacks.
These are build as light as possible while still being able to lift a truck that weighs over two tonnes.
Steering racks
In Rally Raid, steering racks need to be performant, well designed, temperature and impact resistant and very durable. This is why we decided to supply select teams with our own steering racks.
They are all of the above mentioned factors but also light weight and service friendly.
